Stone County Tennis Camp enjoys success
Players from four counties converged on the Wynn Tennis Center in Wiggins for a three-day tennis camp last week.
"We ended up with a total of 35 girls and boys who sharpened their
tennis skills for next year," said camp director Steven Georgian. "Our
instructors and players should be commended for their hard work and
dedication."
William Carey University head tennis coach Christoph Schaefer, current
WCU players Nick Georgian and and Hunt Guidry joined current Mississippi
Gulf Coast Community College player Christa Owen and former Bulldog
player Ben Berry along with Steven Georgian as instructors at the camp.
"Hopefully, our campers took something away from the camp that will make
them better players for their respective junior and senior high schools
next year," Steven Georgian said.
He said he expects the camp to be even bigger and better next year and
thanked Wynn Alexander for reserving the tennis center for the camp.
