Lucedale Friends of the Library host annual autograph party

LUCEDALE, Mississippi -- Friends of the Lucedale-George County Public Library will again host their annual Autograph Party with authors Carolyn Haines and Marianna Albritton on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon, in the library. The Friends group will also serve refreshments.
The Friends have invited perennial favorite Carolyn Haines to autograph her newest book "Smarty Bones," which is her newest in a continuation of the great "Bones" series. There will also be copies of some of Carolyn's previous publications for sale including others in the Bone series.
Mystery and romance novelist Carolyn Haines was born in Hattiesburg. She has published a large number of romance novels for Harlequin. Using her own name, she has published several novels set in Mississippi in different historical periods as well as the "Bones" series.
The Friends will also host Marianna W. Albritton. Her objective with her newest book is to clear the confusion surrounding seeking God and spiritual development. The author shares that she initially faced challenges finding her place in God's plan, and on her journey, came to realize that there are many others with the same struggle.
Marianna graduated from Southeastern Baptist College in Laurel, with two years of New and Old Testament courses. She has been studying and teaching the Bible for 46 years. The author has written Sunday school lessons for The Baptist Sunday School Board.
The Lucedale library is located at 507 Oak St., near city park by the water tower.
