Skeletal remains found by George County hunters

LUCEDALE, Mississippi -- Hunters in northeast George County discovered human skeletal remains on Sunday, Sheriff Dean Howell said in a news release today.
The remains were found in a wooded area at approximately 10:00 a.m., he said.
The George County Sheriff's Office, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are working together to determine the identity of the remains.
The skeletal remains were transported to the Mississippi Crime Lab for forensic and DNA analysis.
